About the Work
Giles Packham was commissioned to compose the score and sound design for Paperman, a short film funded by RTE, the Irish Film Board and the Arts Council under the Frameworks scheme. The short was directed and produced by Richard Kelly of Prickly Pear Productions.
The quirky short tells the story of A lone man’s quest to find his true love in a busy paper metropolis. The short has won many awards including best short animation at the Canadian Film festival and has been screened at over forty international festivals.
With no dialogue in the film the ethereal score and sound design by Giles takes centre stage.
